    Confusion Over Training

I've read a few tutorials on training and don't feel like I've gained much new knowledge. I'm just going to summarise my confusion in a few seperate questions in the hope you guys can help me, if this is the wrong thread feel free to redirect me.

What's the main aim of training? - Is it to get each bonus to 10% or to train players skills up. I don't know if it's because I'm a low level but my players skills seem to increase very little with each training. I've heard of people just training subs to get the full bonuses and still have a fully conditioned main 11.

How do the bonuses work exactly? And which one is the most important? - I noticed if you watch the game live you can use the bonuses and they last 20 minutes. So do the bonuses only get used if you watch the game live?

Should I train positions separately? Or all of the players each time? - everyone seems to differ vastly in opinion on this.

In the preparation for each game, I've been told to do 3-4 training sessions. Should I stick to the recommend amount or do more/less?

If I try to train a player to gain a new position or specialist skill, does this take away from potential skill growth?

How do the combinations of training work? - I understand that using the same one more than once doesn't have much of an effect, and from what I've heard the order doesn't actually matter. Should I only use easy training, hard or a mixture of both?

When I unlock a new training type. Should I keep unlocking say, all the attacking drills to gain better drills or unlock each category equally. I've heard you can get better than the 3 whistles, something like a golden ball?

Sorry for all the questions, I've only had the game for 3 days.

    I do that training here
    http://forum.topeleven.com/top-eleve...-training.html

    I 'm going for the 8% or 10%.
This bonus is working (and affect however the game play) even if you don't watch your game.
Most of my games, I don't use the extra bonus button - except for emergency.

I give little more attack drills to my attackers, defense to my defenders and more mixed in my MC.

The main aim of training should be to increase your players skills and the bonus is just secondary. Take a situation where you dont have enough rest/green
packs but you already have 2% bonus to use that day,in that situation you wouldnt train your players just to have some more bonus.

There are several ways to manage the team and choice of training method, intensity, time you train your players is all part of it. I usually train my players immediately after the last match of the day so they can rest naturally before the following days match. If i have early morning matches then these will be light training so to ensure by morning they are match fit.

Its all about balancing player condition between wasting the natural rests on a player who is at 99% and too tired players.

You dont have to train everyday. The game gives suggestions of training you "must" do before the next match but you dont absolutelu have to train. I admit that i have lost a fair of matches i should have won teoretically because i dint train but you have a choice. Plus you can do only the very easy and easy drills, right on the boundaries like training only subs and not doing all drill slots.

Training new position or special ability takes away from the players overall growth.

Just have fun train as you wish and goodluck !

I understand the game takes away 2% of the bonuses each day, is this all that goes to the games? So it doesn't matter how high the bonus is as long as you have 2% in each category?

    Hi Calflux140

Feel free to discover how to use training from my tuto : http://forum.topeleven.com/tutorials...l-newbies.html

Then, to answer your dark worries, you have by now 2 goals (on new version).
1- Improve your players skills. It dépends what your are aiming for ? Simply boosting players, Power training players, Adding SP to reach next ideal condition.
2- Improve your daily bonuses. It dépends if you wanna benefit or not this opportunity ?

Multiple opportunities to train your players are offered from standard training step by step (you have to choose players and drills), quick training (you have to select hardness and possibly re adapt training and players according your need). Very easy to understand after some try. In case of power training, you can choose specific players/zonal to train and select only king of adapted training for their role. So, it means "yes" you can do it ponctually or everytime. What do I mean with reaching ideal condition. When you train players to get the 10% bonuses, you know that some players can have yet 1 or 2 training because timing for the next match leaves them with sufficient condition to add yet trainings. The goal is to let them at 99% just before the match starts.

Now, is bonuses are really usefull ? I think "yes" ! So you can think same or not, it doesn't mind anyway as when you train your players, with some accurate actions you can easilly train them and in the same time grow up your bonus. During the match you can use this opportunity called "bonus" and maybe you will have your own opinion. I cannot tell you if it works only when live match is managed or not, as I use to manage my team every match. And when I was not there hopefully my team is strong and often I won too. Not sure bonus helped.

My leitmotiv is not the Nordeus notification of how many train to do yet. Mine is first to understand how many condition my players can loose to reach the next match at 99% of condition. Then, I decide the hardness of the training to come. And now I train. On the evening no importance the numbers. Between 2 matches, I respect the Nordeus indication and make the lower possible training.

More you will train your players more your training level will improve, more your drills will improve too. From 3 whistles to 1 gloden ball. You see poor evolving players after training, it is logical. I am at 59 and now lot of my drills are with golden ball and my players get lot of % skills.

For new position and ability, power train is helpfull but your player could have poor rating in the next matchs as he is tired. If you do same without power training, he will improve too but with lot of time, almost a full season. According to your league level, no ming of it. To my level, it is not possible as I play a league with some Token buyers and it will be a player I have to sell if I decided for a classical training.

Yes the game takes away 2% bonus each day thats why i said "if you have 2% to spend that day".

Im not sure how much you need or if the 2% gets spent all with each use of the bonus but i have never had a case where the bonus got finished.

Bottom line is that if you have the green/rest packs then train as much as you like and enjoy the resulting bonus. The aim should be to increase your player skills while ensuring they are in a good condition to actually contribute something in the match.

Thats just my little, level 15 experience.
