hi iridensys, the formation above is quite strong but has its own disadvantages.the wing areas of the formation can be exploited if u have good wingers.the first main job u have to do is check whether his wingbacks play offensive or defensive.if the play defensive u can play without caution as such but if they play offensive than u have to be careful in the wing area.he has a single striker so u will nullify his threat by playing a four man/three man defence.u also need a DMC to counter his AMC in midfield.he only has one player in central midfield so that means u need two midfielders in that area.u also need pacey wingers to exploit spaces on the wings.to improve ur attack, put an AMC as he does not have DMC.ur wingers will also protect ur full backs in cases where his wingbacks play offensive along with his wingers.

try going 3-1-4-1-1.but one thing is that ur wingers have to be good both at attack and defence.put red arrows if his wingbacks play defence and blue arrows if his wingbacks play attack or u can even put no arrows but that may be a slight risk but not too much if ur players are good at both defence and attack.its best to go short passing to maintain possession as he does not have many players in the centre.own half pressure bcoz his team is same level so cant take risks.tackle normal, attacking, zonal

Thanks Sean; do you think 4-1-2-1-2 ND is a valid alternative to 3-1-4-1-1?

If u try 4-1-2-1-2ND ur wing area will be exposed to his wingers and full backs.but i dont think its a bad idea bcoz although u are taking a risk on the wing,he is taking a bigger risk as u have more players than him in central midfield.try it!
