How to beat an irritating tanker?

Hey Managers, do you have some advice? This guy has a very irritating habbit: every single time he doesn't win, he buys very expensive players. I played CL 1/8 final 1st leg against him with a good tactics, he had luck with a 2-2 draw. After the match he bought 8stars (!) players though we are only lvl 2 managers. So what are your advice? He plays 4-1-1-3-1, better team than mine. Thx in advance.

Hey mate, it depends on your squad so i would rather start with any lineup that suits the squad best.

Tankers are ruining the game for everyone. There has to be a way to put a cap on how much a manager can spend. I understand it's a business and the more tokets spent, more profitable for the game but there has to be a way to make it more balance so it's fair competition
