Is my Squad okay or not?

I feel like, ppl with less stars (i got better players) i keep loosing to them.
And i take the right Formations against those teams etc.

Am i doing something completely wrong or?

Buy some fresh 5 stars, save few tokens then bid to this kinda old and quality around fresh 5 stars as long you won't find to many peoples who want them.
