How are the points accrued during association matches?

If your association finishes:
1st - you get 50 points
2nd - 25 points
3rd - 10 points
4th - 0 points

you also get 3 points for one won match, 1 point for a draw, 0 for a loss.

the 3 points for win etc ... that's obvious
It also states that hence your association wins 21-6 or such
I'm talking about the points that go towards whether you stay up get promoted or demoted.
We get anything from 79 points to 179 points....(when we win) or zero to 29 points when you lose....
Is it as simple as 1st place 50, 2nd place 25...etc?
