Association Rewards

Guys i have a question. Is it possible that u can get rewards and token from association if u just joined the association just before the end of the current season (without playing a single match for the association).
I was kicked out of my association just before the end of the season after being active for two months.He did the same to two others in last two season, and each time the same person ( name is similar to that of the association captain) joined and left the association. So I'm guessing its possible.
