There can be a delay getting the player if he was on the field for a match, the most delay I have had is about an hour.

Also for new players, remember if you have a full 22 players you may need to scroll down to see him, and sell or sack someone to sign him.

Weird..I never get delayed when I bought some players. Thread starter, are you sure your squad is not full? In case full, you need to remove some player.
