Help! Player for trade when I haven't listed him

Hi all, I have a player that's been on my bench for a season, when I trained them the game said he was up for trade? I waited a few days to see if it would auto fix, didn't work, renewed his contract, didn't work, started him in a game, didn't work! I have plenty of tokens and cash in the bank....... Any ideas? Starting to irritate me

Is he one skill point away from the next star? If so I think he is automatically put on the negotiation list. Normally once someone submits an offer, you have 24 hours to accept it and sell the player, or reject it and keep them. If you ignore it then the offer is rejected. But if this has been lasting a few days then either someone is aggressively pursuing him or it's probably a bug.
