Player Appeared In Squad Overnight

One of my players (a 4 star GK) retired end of the season and when I looked this morning a new Nordgen 32 year old 3 star DC / DR had appeared in his place and with his squad number. What's that all about ??

Your squad didn't have enough players, they added one but you can only sack him.

The thing is I had a full squad of 22 players and I only managed to sack him when I had released a couple of other players.

That's weird! Usually only when you have too small a squad are you forced to take in retirees. Sounds like a glitch, I hope he didn't cost too much to sack.

I've never had that happen before. He had zero stats and he cost zero to sack. Sounds to me like there's a load of weird stuff happening as I've noticed other oddities too.

Although you had a squad of 22 players but you didn't signed the contracts of your players...

The game doesn't counts them and adds new retiring players to your team to make number of players 14......

That actually sounds about right Sid as I did need to re-sign and release several players whose contracts had expired. Mystery solved !

When your team had 11 + 3 players, the game will always add a new old player for you in the new season.
