The formation is illegal because you only have 2 midfielders. 5-2-3 is the only possible formation with less than 3 midfielders.

Hi, I got the same issue. Then, I changed the formation during a match, and saw immediatly the difference of ball possesion.

From what I saw there, I think one of your player from side or 1 of your mc it was on a wrong possition, because formation was ok.

I'm getting PO at this game. The DEVs don't know **** about football yet they make up formation law?

In real life, there would be a huge space for the opponents to exploit, but with zonal marking on T11, the most open opponent will be the central MC who is only double marked. The team's attack would be slightly odd, though, with lots of support down the wings, but AMCs being the most advanced midfielders.

Pricop said you need 1 midfielder, but I think he means the centre row, M(L/C/R). You can't even have a formation with only 1 midfielder.
