illegal formations bug?

hello,

I got some strange experience first cup round. my opponent used 3 wingers on one side, if im correct thats an "illegal formation" i had 65% ball possesion, but lost 1-3. ofcourse can happen. while it had be 80% ballpossesion for me right?

I look at more cup rounds, i see a 3n-4-3 narrow diamond formation. no wingers should be illegal , this guy won 2-0 and had 53% ball possesion, while the opponent had a legal formation. Also a cup match, one player has one dr and no left winger. should be illegal right?, he won 7-0 with 80% ball possesion while the other player had a legal formation.

Is this an engine bug or anything? or are "illegal formations" not illegal anymore?

There's no illegal formation anymore from what I know.

The blanket Illegal Formation penalty was scrapped several months ago.

% possession penalties are now (relatively small) from Out of Position (OOP) players rather than one big swing of the Penalty-Hammer.

I'd suggest that is now an extreme OOP penalty - not an illegal formation.

(I'm being picky to avoid confusion over ppl thinking there are 2 systems )
