Where did that new player come from?

Second time I have had a 32 year old random player added to my squad at end of season.
What is the purpose of this? Obviously near retirement and I never signed him so where did he come from?
I can't just "Sell him now" so it will cost my team 13.2 million to sack him. What's that all about?

Did you have 14 players with contracts when previous season ended ?
Maybe that's the reason.

Possibly as a few were out of contract, however that doesn't explain anything. Do you have to have 15 players? and why is he 32 and retiring at end of season?

if you had 14 player`s at end of season and 1 of them was retiring then Nordeus will replace player of similar age so you have 14 man squad for new season

edit; you could have say 16 man squad and if 3 player`s were to retire that leave`s you with 13 player so automatic a player will come in and always old to give a 14 man squad as you need 11 1st teamer`s and 3 player`s on sub`s bench

It dosent have any cost to sack him.

Last season i kept 1 MC and he was great. 3 goals in 6 LEAGUE games and 1 goal in 2 CUP games.

This season i am keeping a ST and a MC, free players i like them.

And in my 4th or 5th season, i got a MR who scored a lot of goals, he was great and even got to the 4th star.

If you are low on tokens, they are great to keep as subs.

Thanks for clearing that up for me guys, think I'll run this player till end of season just to see how it pans out. If I remember I will let you know how he does
