has any one noticed if you get o two or more gift of the same from different friends, the game only credits 1 insteady of 2 or more depending on how many friends sent the same gift

That is correct, otherwise those with lots of friends gain unfair advantage over those that don't, and not just in the coloured packs and skill points.

As Talisman said, is impossible for the game to allow you to get unlimited boosters everyday. That's why there's a limit of one type of booster per day as gift.
