No notification on new phone

Ever since I bought a new phone with Android 6.0 I don't receive notifications from TE anymore.
If I open the app and leave it in background, I get notifications, otherwise it's completely silent and I don't want to always have it open.

I went to settings -> App -> Top Eleven and made sure the notifications are enabled. They are, and gave them priority over everything. Still no notifications.
I went to settings -> battery ->Optimization and remove TE from the optimization, since sometimes this kills the app and all the notifications. Still doesn't work.

On my Android miniPC with Android 4.4 they work, and they worked on my old phone with 4.2, but with Android 6.0 everything has become an hassle since some apps just don't want to freaking give notifications or launch on startup.

I pretty much gave up at this point.
Is there a problem with TE and Android 6.0, or is it just me?

not opening a new topic. I wanna ask the opposite. How can I turn (sound) notifications on my phone from association chatter?

Some ppl send messages at night. I dont wanna put my phone on total silent just because of this, it should be up for emergencies. My sound is turned off in the game but still i got notification from the messages in the association.
