My player got a one match ban for 2 yellow cards in 4 matches

My player got a one match ban for 2 yellow cards in 4 matches in the league, and I face one of the strongest teams in the league tomorrow. Is this normal? Can anyone help me out?

Edit: I mean I got one yellow card each, but in the space of 4 matches

Yes, entirely normal. Some players are card magnets. I usually find my DMC is picking up Yellows most games. If I have an important game coming up, I usually bench that player to save him from himself.

Thanks a lot for your reply - after the chance with a weaker player, I lost 3 percentage points on my team and dipped to 14 points behind the opponent - who had an 8-star player in his ranks. Managed to eke out a draw, but with my changed strategy I had more shots on goal. That close.

Just because you lose some % against a stronger team is not a bad thing. Your opponent team overall quality is not indicative of how good they are. For example he might have one or two players with very high White skills in certain areas such as shooting, finishing, fitness, speed etc but overall he might only be 4* or 5*.
For example, I have a 5* legend with 1% greys but 400% finishing.
So you should not worry too much about dropping a few % if a player is injured or suspended.
