Special sponsor reward

Hello, i have two special sponsor challenges regarding youth academy. First was to get a player in academy to 6 stars and second to 7. I got my player to 7 stars but received only reward for that higher challenge, which makes no sense, since i got my player to 7 stars and got reward for 7stars challenge but not 6, very strange?
