•Why?
Visit the (former) stadium in 1989 with my father, friendly match AZ - OFI Crete. Since that moment i'm a AZ fan. AZ played second division when i start to be a fan. In 1996 they won the second division, only 1 year on the highest level. Then in 1998 they won the second division again. In 2009 Dutch champion, and 2013 we won the cup.
•What was the happiest time with your club?
Many. European campaign in 2004/2005, made it through the 1/2 final. On aggregate lost against Sporting Lisbon (3-2, 1-2). It was great for a small team like AZ. The title in 2009. Great season, great players. But the cup final in 2013 was my happiest moment. We came with 17.000 fans to Rotterdam. Great atmosphere in the city. Friendly contact with the PSV fans, they came with 12.000. The game was great. On paper PSV had much better players, but we had Jozy Altidore and Adam Maher, and a great teamspirit.
