4-5-1 vs 4-4-2

Hello,

I had a game yesterday: it was cup semi-finals.
I played against weaker team, but lost 2-1.
He was playing 4-4-2. I countered it with 4-5-1 V style.
I had red arrows on my DMC, DL & DR.
Should I try something else tomorrow against him & what tactics should I use? :S

Thanks for your fast answer, but I'm not really sure how does the 4-4-2 Narrow look like.. So could you please post a pic or explain it more.

The narrow diamond is usually played with short passing (due to players close together) and through the middle, which is why it usually works when 4-5-1V doesnt, which is a flank based formation.

The logic is true,but vice versa the game engine...4-4-2 ND is easily beaten by 4-4-2 classic,and 4-5-1 is counter-formation of 4-4-2 classic.

I often against 4-4-2 c with 4-5-1v, and always work well

My order, normal mentality, down both flanks, own half, mixed passing, zonal marking with counter attack.

i prefer to cristmas tree thn 4-4-2 nd, sometimes it doesn't work for me.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll go 4-5-1 V again and hope for better luck!
If I find out that it really doesn't go well, I guess I'll change to 4-4-2 narrow then.
