    try 3-3-2-1
    ----------------st----
    ---------------amc----
    ----------mc--------mc----
    ----dml------dmc---------dmr--
    ---------dc---dc----dc-------
used it against a team with 11 scouts, won them 2-0
    tactics:
    normal or hard defending
    passing mixed
    pressing on half
    tackling normal
with force counter attack and offside trap
make sure you watch the match

As orders i used attacking , short pases , trough the middle , press own half , normal tackling , zonal marking , no counterattack no offside. Good luck !
If I was your opponent you are out already. The reason being that I would never use flat midfield against diamond. When I see you are using diamond I switch my formation. Its a deadly formation, so, as you are planning to beat me with it I am also try not to lose. The manager didn't care since he won the first leg with a wide margin. And you gave it to him. Nice one though.

    I have always had problems against 3 4 1 2 and 4 2 2 2hexagon. I will suggest the former.

A lot of people wanna beat 4 4 2. Imagine this post has 27k views but a meagre 14replies. I guess I really have to make my 4 4 2 more efficient.

4-4-2 its not that hard to beat if you stronger or same quality, but if you weaker that can be complicated, many formations beat 4-4-2 narrow diamond very attacking can do it hexagon, Xmas tree, also 4-3-1-2 wide can do it, I usually use a mirror formation but very attacking both flanks so you pick yours, I don't recommend 4-5-1v 4-5-1 flat 4-1-4-1 3-5-2 v or flat and also others formations narrow apart of narrow diamond.

4-3n-2w-1 is the best for me. I use attacking, mixed and short, no CA, high press and zonal marking, and keeping the OT on depends on whether he as AMx — if not, the offside trap's on. The edge is in the midfield — 5v4 means possession is better. Also the 3w attacking formation (I call AML/ST/AMR as 3w) keeps their fullbacks engaged, however the opponent has only 2ST, so our fullbacks can join the attack. Thus I also put up arrows on fullbacks. Also a blue arrow on central MC gives a bit of defensive boost.

from what i have seen, to win against 4-4-2:

    a) control the middfield; 4 our more players.

    b) cover the flanks.

    c) attack through the middle.

Assuming, we play to win, few formations can do that, 4-4-1-1 or 4-1-3w-1-1 may do the job..i wil test the last one..
correct for me always worked 4-1-3w-1-1how to beat 4-4-2 formation-screenshot_52.jpg

I Think it's working because you have the middle, your players are everywhere in the middle. They can easily pass around the flat 4
