Question The most difficult game this season against 4-1-3W-2

    Hello,

well, I have this game against a very good player in the Champions League. I lost the first game with 3 - 1, he was playing home and me outwards. Now he is going to play outwards and me home and I don't know how to beat this formation.

I have a quality of 29.4, he has a quality of 30.5. I've been playing with 3N-1-4-2 against his 4-1-3W-2 since the counter formation thread said it works, and well, it obviously didn't.

    Screenshot of his team:

I hope anyone can help me with this.

    Regards,
    Confuzzled

4-1-3W-2 can be a pain to counter at times and not all the counters can normally worked, I used 4-5-1 V to get me out of trouble in a CL quarter-final a couple of seasons ago and 4-4-2 classic is known to get results vs 4-1-3W-2, Think 3N-1-4-2 is listed as a natural counter but it maybe wrong.

Hmm, I think I'm going with 4-5-1V. Any other suggestions?

I suggest you to play 4-5-1V with defensive mentality, mixed passing, mixed focus, zonal marking, and use counter attack. I've been using this formation against some teams with that kind of formation, but normally I use attacking mentality and short passing because my team was better than them. In your case, since your team's rating is lower than his so I would suggest playing counter attack.

Remember, defensive doesn't mean that they will not attack. They will but more efficiently (more careful, not simply do some long shots). Additionally, if you want to put arrows on your player, put on your AML and AMR.

    Good luck, cheers !
