    Countering 4-1-2-3

    Hey all
Today m going to face a 42.5 team in the cup actually I lost the 1st match 0-1 "home" he is using 4-1-2-3

    GK
    DR--DC------DC--DL
    CDM
    MC------MC

    ST--ST--ST

It seems that he is depending on counter attacking so m thinking of using 3(W)-1-3(N)-2 as following

    GK
    DR------DC------DL
    CDM
    MC--MC--MC
    AMC
    ST------ST
using - Blue arrows for (3 defenders + 1 CDM) to have 4 fixed defenders defending his counter attacking 3 strikers.
and - Red arrows for (CMC) to have 2 AMC countering his 1 CDM & red arrow (AMC)
I will counter (through the middle) with counter mentality short passes normal tackling
    My team level is 42.2

Any suggestions or notes for the the above strategy or I should use another one noting that this strategy match my top players

Note: My game will start in 2 hours so fast respond will be appreciated

    3N-1-4-2, red arrows on wingers.
3N-5-2 flat, red arrows on wingers.
3N-1-3N-2W-1 with blue arrows on DMC

attacking, down flanks, hard tackle, zonal, no counter, no offside.

I would go with any of the above, but most likely the first one as I have won with that several times.

Personally, I would go 4-5-1V, but it greatly depends where the skills lie in his and your teams.

Actually I used 3N-1-4-2 red arrows on wingers in the first game where I lost 0-1 although I finished with 54% ball possession
and for the 4-5-1V I don't have excellent AML/R so I will use players out of their positions
so should i go with mine or there will be no hope

    3-5-2 flat.

4-5-1V is not necessary. you only need 3DC since he is not playing with wingers.
that frees up a defender to move up to an AMC or ST.

try 3N-1-3W-2N-1, up the middle or

    3N-1-3W-0-3 ( I like this one)

I wouldnt worry about the first game. I lost my first game in the CL a few days ago, 1-0 away, but won the return leg 4-1.

Go with any of the above formations that gives you the strongest team.

I made up my mind I 'll start with mine attacking through the middle for the the 1st 30 min. if it worked with me I will continue if not I will change to V style using MR as AMR and AMC as AML and I will attack both flanks.

Once I finish I 'll share the report but m not feeling good as he has more than 16 supporters while m alone with 2 or 3 supporters (lol)

Don't worry about the supporters, there is a maximum to the possession that they can gain.

4 hours later and we still don't know how he got on.

Drunk celebrating or slashing his wrists following a heavy defeat?
