Have noticed my most succesful formation this season has been classic 4-4-2. This coupled with hard tackling and mixed passing style has worked wonders.Anyone else noticed a similar thing this season-wondering if 4-4-2 is now the 'in thing' on T11.

Yeah i know what you mean about 4-4-2 and the weaker team thing. Just played a league match at home against a 4-4-2 team. I started out with a 3N-4-1-2 side.He is 66 rated to my 79.5 and i had extra 15% pocession with supporters and crowd....was hoping to score a hat full of goals.Well that didnt happen-lol!
It was 0-0 well into 2nd half and it wasnt until i matched his formation with my own 4-4-2 after 65 mins that i managed to scrape a goal and win 1-0.
On the plus side....i got through to cup final tonight winning 4-0 away from home after being 2-1 down in first leg. I replicated his formation (3N-5-2) which i did not do in first leg.......I am also finding this season that if you copy a non 4-4-2 playing sides formation the stronger side in terms of quality points wins....hmmm what to play in cup final , up against a 3N-1-4-2 side only a couple of quality points lower than me.......4-4-2 it is then.......lol
Against 4-4-2 Classic, use 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond. Orders are as follow
Mentality: Attacking
Focus passing: Through the middle
Pressure: Own half
Tackling: Normal
Passing: Short passes
Defense: Zonal defense
No OT, no Counter
Beat my opponent in CL Final with a higher rating with 2-0. I had one a player (MR) off position (MC)
