CL game vs 4-1-2-1-2 wide diamond

First time facing the 4-1-2-1-2 wide diamond. Was thinking of playing 4-4-2 (no arrows) against it, normal, through middle, own half, normal tackling, mixed passing, zonal and counter attack. The other way I was thinking was 3N-1-4-2 with same orders.

    other ideas

Try 3(DC)-1(DMC)-4(MC)-2(ST) or 3(DC)-5(MC)-2(ST) for ND with red arrows to your flanks. I face the same problem. his formation is 4-1-2-1-2 so we have to attack from the flanks.. 4-4-2 it's kinda risky because his AMC will be free in his area.

What about using red arrows on the MC's, and passing through middle since its wide diamond and they have players covering the flanks?

You dont have to add red arrow to your MC. You can also try 4-1-3-2. Because you need to take down his AMC. Passing through the middle would be good idea. It's Wide Diamond or Narrow Diamond? If it's narrow then you should check my thread.

    4-1-2-1-2 Wide Diamond

    ---ST---ST---
    -----AMC-----
    ML---------MR
    -----DMC-----
    DL-DC--DC-DR

    Or

    4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond

    ---ST--ST---
    ----AMC-----
    --MC--MC---
    ----DMC-----
    DL-DC--DC-DR

3-5-2 was a complete failure against the Wide Diamond. Lost 4-2 at home!

3-5-2 is useless against the wide diamond if your opponent is stronger than you. i told you to use 3-5-2 or 3-1-4-2 against the Narrow Diamond as you said and not the wide diamond

my opponent played wide diamond, not narrow diamond, never said otherwise. I started with the 3-1-4-2 and switched to 3-5-2 at halftime. His team is at 23.1 and mine is at 22.6.
