Strange formation

I faced a lot of different formations in my t11 career but now my stronger opponent in the league use this :
4-2(DML,DMR)-1MC-1AMC-2ST
So he has DL,DML and DR,DMR.He's very strong at the flank defense but he hasn't DMC and he has weak midfield.But when I see the results against other teams he dominates them even they use narrow diamond...Why...What's wrong with this game engine.

Try 4-1-3W-2 Covers mid and flanks. I like to use the christmas tree formation: 4-3W-2N-1. Since he has an AMC trade the MC for a DMC or put a blue arrow on mid MC. Attack through the middle, Normal and mixed passing.
