Looking for solid formation against 43n3 when playing away at higher level team

Hi, I managed to squeak a 1-0 win at home against a much better team playing 43n3 using narrow diamond, but am expecting a bombardment from the other teams players when I play away. Has anyone got any ideas as to a formation that will be tighter than a ducks backside in defence, but will give me the possibility of a breakaway goal? Orders and arrows would be appreciated.

if you have good wingers along with a decent dmc then maybe you should try the 4-5-1 v formation. the dmc(with blue arrows) should help protect your defence and with good wingers on this formation you can exploit their weaknesses out wide by attacking out wide. i would also put red arrow on the wingers. try also hard tackling if the other team is much better than yours. well hope it helps in some way

DO NOT USE THE 4-5-1v. You have been warned.

the problem is my first team is about 3 levels lower on average than his, I have 1 player that would get in his team. Which is why I need a very defensive formation

Wouldn't have used it anyway. What would you suggest instead?

I will suggest a 4-1-4-1 then. Play it defensive, mixed passing, long balls with the counter attack. See how that works out.

the only formation that I can suggest is 5-2(MC)-2(AML/AMR)-1 but you want to play it defensive...

Am expecting a backlash from his team, most of his players had poor ratings, only 4 were 7 or 8, he had a player sent off and I only won 1-0. Hence thinking defensive
