Normaly 2 players out of original position do not have any problem.
Red arrows it is not the same, but can work, probably you will have less chances.
442 work against ND

4141 works for me, against both diamond formations. pass to flanks for narrow, through middle for wide everything else normal with counter

i've lost 1-0 away in cup against this formation ( +/- same level than my opponent). I hesitate between 4-4-2 ND (so the same as him) or 4-1-3n-2 for the return match (3-5-2 dont work for me against this formation). what would you choose ?

I won and i lost with it.
I have a kid in my league, he has the worst team in the top 10.
He is 4th, an beating teams far better than his.
So any results with other taktics?
I lost twice to weaker teams this season using ND, both of the opponents played 4-5-1 (I was not online to adapt).

Red arrow on my AMR/L, ST. Blue on DC(s). Down both flank, attacking mentality, mixed pass, no counter / offside.
I managed only 6 shots (1 on target) while he got 13 (5 went in).
Tried 4-5-1 V in the 2nd half. It didnt help much although I managed to finally stopped shipping out goals!
PS: I had the better team without having to play any players out of position.
Stay out of this formation!!!!!! Super pissed!

352V Style was the Best formation against ND it stoped working this season.
451V Style are also not producing great results.
Now i am using 3132W1 with good results so far.
i dont advice without being little sure i watched alot of 442 win against NDand was equal or weaker than ND . i know you will say the AMC will disturbe and score alot i dont believe any more in this game with fixed rules anything happen any time hereQuote:

Lol never play with 3 DCs in a V formation countering a ND. Always 4 defense!
Best tactic is to let you offense occupy the empy field spaces of you opponents defense and match your defense with your opponents offense.
So in a 4-1-2-1-2 diamond, occupy the red stripes:

Hi, as you can see I was down 1-0 Half time, and I switched from 4 1 3w 2 - to 3 5 1 V - Attacking , Both Flanks, Hard .
that or my team had a very good pep talk from the trainer on half time :)

Well, 4-5-1 V style worked for me : I won 3-1 against a slightly stronger opponent, with defensive, down both flanks, hard tackling and force counter.

Now I will have 3 games in a row against ND, 2 with weaker teams, including decisive cup second leg, but 1 with a slight stronger one. Pls advise me about 3-5-2V considering my team.
