Depending on your on Team, you can play 352 flat 451v style can also work. 3142 is also a option.
The trick is control the midfield.

Thank you Dman2pt. Someone else ?

I like read many advices before making a choice. Even new season, everything change. Last season, I countered easily this system with a narrow diamond...

    i think use 3N-2 DML/DMR up - 2MC down -1-2 is better. setting attack . pass mixed . mixed . ofsite off
Team : GS Tar FC lvl 8
    Le : 2 - 2 - 1 - 6 - 3 - 3 - 3
    CL : x - 1 - 3 - 2 - x - x - x
    LC : x - 2 - x - x - x - 2 - 2

I did test 4-5-1v and it wasnt great at all.. 3-5-2v was a bit better but also hard times for same quality team.. i did test 4-1-4-1 and also was crap.. 4-5-1v lost 3-2.. 3-5-2v draw 2-2.... 4-1-4-1 draw 0-0 all games was again same quality teams..
I came with idea 4-1-1-2w-2 but still thinking

    4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond

Attacking, Trough the middle, own half, normal tackle, short passing, zonal marking. no counter/offside

If you notice you can put red arrows on DL,DR do it. Otherwise no arrows.

Did you read me ? Narrow diamond doesn't work now. I used exactly your strategy and loss 1-3 against a weakier team (not very much) than mine.

I just had 2 games versus such formation. In first one I've choosed to play 3N-1-4-1-1 and after first half I was loosing 2-0. I switched to 4-1-2n-1-2 and offensive and game ended with my team loosing 4-2.
In a rematch I've played 4-1-3N-1-1 middle and won 4-0.
