I played 4-1-4-1 against a better team with that formation last night and won 2-0. I played normal, down both flanks, blue arrows in DMC and DC.

Yesterday i won 4-0 by 4-4-2 c and that orders (i have higher quality) but if u have lower quality maybe u can use cholo's suggestion
you need ML, MR or AML, AMR to against attacking flanks
