    no dmr-dmls in my team,
4-1(DMC)-3(MCs)-2 ,with up the DR-DL probably, but still not conviced that i shoudnt play full attack to beat him 5+ goals.

Actually i have to decide if i want the cup so play safely and win it for my legend,or if i want to try the machine.

    Maybe 3-4-1-2
    ST-ST
    AMC
    ML-MC-MC-MR
    DC-DC-DC

    I am facing a 4-3-1-2 wide 3 (4-3w-1-2):

    DL-DC--DC-DR
    ML---MC---MR
    -----AMC
    ---ST--ST

and he can convert it to 4-1-3w-2 (i've seen him doing it in some matches, but his DMC is just 4 stars):

    DL-DC--DC-DR
    -----DMC
    ML---MC---MR
    ---ST-ST

I've read that for the second one a 3-2w-2-2w-1 works well, but most probably he is going to start with the attacking formation (4-3w-1-2) and most probably change to the defensive one as soon as he gets the lead... i really don't know how to counter him.

I am usually playing 4-5-1 V formation, so if i change to 3-2w-2-2w-1 i have my DR and DL playing off position as DML DMR, which i don't really like. I was thinking that 4-5-1 V can be a decent counter, but not sure about it and no idea on how to put arrows or orders...

We both have an average score of 39-40 on field (almost 6 stars) and its the champions final!!

    Thank you for the help!

    What about 3-2-3-2

    ST ST
    MC MC(DOWN) MC
    DML (UP) DMR (UP)
    DC DC DC

Defensive - counter - mixed focus - mixed passing

    maybe,
as long as he play with AMC 3-5-2
    ST ST
ML(DOWN) MC MC (UP) MC MR (DOWN)
    DC DC DC

Defensive - counter - focus through the middle - mixed passing.
    When he plays with DMC:

Defensive - counter - focus mixed - mixed passing.

Thank you! I'll let you know how i get on.

I'm the underdog so there's no pressure.

the point is to dominate the middle where he is weak, and to exploit adv from the flanks. My defence is ok with a DMC blocking his AMC .
I am too close to 3-1-4-2 ...50/50 with my first thought 4-3-3
