Well I found this "ancient" thread too and let me add my two cents..
I played against a slightly weaker 5-3n-2 team last week and used 3n-4-1-2 and got punished losing 3-1
I thought to my self maybe I should have went with 4-4-2
Well Today I'm facing a 5-3w-2 (also slightly weaker) team and I'm not going with 4-4-2. Reason? Last night my main rival who has a stronger team than mine lost to this guy while using 4-4-2. If it didn't work for him it won't work for me.
Now I'm not sure what to use. But certainly none of those recommended ones in the counter table.
