I like playing the 4-5-1 V as well. It's difficult to pinpoint a best tactical order for this formation because its very flexible. It's effective both in defense and offense. The following are the orders I use.

Defensively: Defensive/normal, passing down the flanks, pressing own half, mixed passing, hard tackling, zonal marking, yes counter attack, no offside. Red arrows on DL/DR. Blue arrows on both MC's. DMC has be either a red or blue arrow whether you want to emphasize supporting the midfielders or back 4.

Offensively: normal/attacking, mixed passing, pressing whole pitch (if attacking) own half (normal), short passing, hard tackling, zonal marking, no counter, no offside. Red arrows on DL/DR, DMC, both MC's.

My question: Do AML/AMR benefit from red arrows? I think it means red attacks one position above normal position, while defending normal position; blue being defend one behind, while attacking from normal. Is this correct or not?
