3-1-4-2 (Total Madness) versus 4-4-2 ?

I was thinking on the match 3-1-4-2 (Total Madness) versus 4-4-2. The same quality of both teams, the same tactics... What do u think who's gonna win ? Which formation is better ?

By 3-1-4-2 to you mean 3N defenders or 3W defenders?

If its 3W you might be ok, its still a little to vulnerable in the back for my liking though. If its 3N, in theory (assuming all other factors equal) the 4-4-2 classic should win the match easily. Reason being, the 3N-1-4-2 is an attacking the flanks formation, and if it attacks the flanks w/o a DL/DR, the 4-4-2 should make it pay dearly with motivated ML/MR. Meanwhile only 2 MC's is negated by the 4-4-2 user giving both his MC's blue arrows.
