Hi,
I usually face 3-1-4-2 opponents with a classical 4-5-1,in order to have 2 players for each flank against 1 .Of course you must have a ST player, with a good quality, struggling against opponent defence, and free-kick specialists could be a further help for you.
Try to place the right players, studying strength and weakness of your opponent
P.S. 4-5-1 is my favourite schema, the second is 5-3-1-1,and then 3-5-1-1, 3-1-5-1, and similar,it depends on the number of ST/AM of my opponent. (4-4-2 only against bot-robot opponents, but I'm not satisfied)

Very good! The 4321 is a more offensive 451. I don't know if you're using 3 MC +1 AMR+1 AML or ML+MC+MR + 2 AMC.
I used the second schema when I was at levels 5,6.
Now I'm a 14 level player,I could rarely use this tactics against strong defenders and midfielders.
From level 8 ,good teams are mainly built on good defense and midfield, helped by a good striker (I have only 3 ST in my team...but I'm beating also 15 and 16 level teams that play with many AM and ST)
