The 3n-2w-2-1-2 is a good option. You can also use 4-3n-1-2 depending on your personnel

4-1-4-1 solid defense and midfield control, run it down the flanks.
Am I the only one that reads this thing?

I concur as I do not follow to the 't' the counters list, and use it as a building block for my own counters list, this partially explains half my time on this board, I'm collecting possible formations and counters that are not on the list.
I'm constantly correcting my own counters list, as I am attempting to play all formations well, as yet an unobtainable goal so far.
The counters list if examined closely has gaping holes and outdated info in it, as managers develop and use new popular formations. Not to forget the constant updating of the engine by the Devs.
But for new managers they should really rely on this list until they see the faults in it. Most of the list is very very useful.
