Nope, tried that and played against players who have special and personal trained players and used hundreds of dollars/euros money, but still doesnt make you succeed... just keep your players mentality good and check their performance... if the performance is poor all the time you have to sell and buy another player... my self had to change 3 times my MC to find the right player with constant good performance. You don't need an excel sheet it's quite simple to work out in your head.
with all due respect, I think you are wrong about "best tactic". first, your results are very good, but far away from excellent. and I think the reason of your relatively success is very strong team. for example, I play with two teams, level 13 and 14. both teams are carefully assembled, but their strength is about 60 percent of strength of your team - depends on when the pic bellow was taken - at the begging or toward the end of season. and yet, my results are better then yours. - on level 7 I think I had all leagues, three cups and in almost all seasons took champ league (missed couple of them) - three triple crowns. and the "success is almost the same with both teams. never the less, pls dont take this in a wrong way, just another point of view. any from first season I use V or 4 4 2 formation, depending on circumstances.... since I play in level 13 and 14, another six or seven seasons, werent that good only when it comes to winning cups - tricky business :) won it last year, but missed another triple crown on just one goal :(
but the main reason for my respond was your obvious skill in managing team it self (training, selling players etc) so, I would be more then thankful if you explain excell table with little more details, respect how you figure it out. if you are interesting in any part of my play, be more then happy to answer. anyway, congrats on results and specially to your dedication on details. excel table is unique, as far as I know. best regards, vanja

Your right about the Excel sheet Vanja, but when you are selling some players, you can check in seconds, that you don´t raise the player to next level... meaning you can sell them to managers on lower levels in the highest possible level... meaning 164 or 169, when the player is 165 or 170 nobody will buy them or you don´t get anymore then the minimum of amount of transfer fee...

No changes, only changed my style to normal from semi offensive... less goals against me like last season my goalie let only one goal in the whole season behind him... in attacking style you make more goals with youre team, but the others have it easier to get goals against you... when you play attacking mode..
In my opinion, play attacking at beginning of the match, and change to normal after you score enough goals, that's better than normal mentality or attacking mentality for all.Quote:

I have come runners up for 3 seasons in a row since I started playing again and I find this tactic is the best because I win every game nearly and I win games like 8-0 frequently. put strongest striker that scores most goals with a red forward arrow and if it is a tough game you can put the cdm into centerback or if you are winning add a 3rd striker and push the cdm into midfield and then play 3 at the back, ect.

To win a league every season is not so difficult as u may think...
My thought is different a bit..I am not the one keen on 1 formation..depend on each opponent..i will switch the formation...based on experience that through my 26 seasons....and also study previous records that the opponent faced..add them as frens also another trick to see how they perform to other teams (this is very helpful when u face them in champion league or CUP)...
Now i even prefer to finish within top4 so I could win a lot of treble for the coming season...
To win a league, with the way how T11 schedule, even the demoted team could be the emerging champion of the next season easily becoz most of their players after trained a season would become 5-6 stars players..to be honest..
Dont mean to come off rude but this is not the "best tactic". I can guarantee you that if another manager changes his tactics to the 1 you use, they will loose. You found players and built them according to your formation and tactic, and your players are quite strong. Oh and you buy tokens :D try not buying tokens for 1 season and see if your success rate with your current formation still works, as I said I dont mean to come off rude. You only have 1 cup, this could also be because you face token buyers which give a proper challenge. There are alot of manager doing the same thing you doing but with different formations and tactics. Other than that congrats on the success rate you have had ;)

now played a season without buying tokens... and i still keep winning... well your right about the players... i have buy and sell in the start of the season to find good players to my tactic... but still my opinion the best tactic ever :p

The best approach is to have a very deep and versatile roster so you're adept at countering the opponents formation.
But in my opinion, if a manager is going to play an entire season with only one tactic, the best tactic to use is either 4-1-2-1-2 ND or 4-5-1 V. The narrow diamond benefits due to three things.
1. The most popular formation in T11 is the 4-4-2 classic. The 4-1-2-1-2 ND plays well against. So, in a sense the formation is countering the meta.
2. Its a push against other centric passing formations, granted 4-1-3n-2 might give it problems.
3. The best counters to the narrow diamond are vulnerable on the flanks. 3n-5-2V and 3n-1-4-2 both lack defense on the wings. There in no coverage for AML/AMR in either and one doesn't cover the ML and MR as well. Hence, if managers are running these tactics as there only tactic (especially 3n-5-2V), they're bound to run into a 4-4-2/4-2-2-2 hex/4-5-1V, problem before the late CL/Cup rounds in addition to more bad matchups in league play.
Similar can be said for 4-5-1V. It seems to play well against 4-4-2 (but I don't understand why). Defenders well against centric passing formations. And 3w defensive sets, although being useful against a lone striker have problems against formations with more than 1 ST.
My opinion the best counter formation to narrow diamond is Striker, AML,AMR,2 x MC and DMC + defenders... meaning 4-5-1 V

anyway to get success you have to buy and try players if they fit to your team... some times you have to change for example striker 3 or for times (sell and buy a new one) to get a team that works... check the statistics, if players get 6-7-6-7-7 or less you should change them... if player should get average of 7,5 so a history of 7-6-9-8-8 or so to be satisfied. Strikers and AMC´s should make a goal every second game or 1 to 3 minimum. AMC and MC´s should pass a lot and be on the rankings in the league at the top or buy new ones... AMC should have goal/pass ratio about 50/50 and MC´s about 25/75 and Strikers the other way 75/25... the tactic you should keep constant, because if you find the (perfect) players don´t mess it up changing the tactic... you can change other things like counter attack, passing, trap etc. while the game is on...
