4-4-2 wide diamond is a tough formation to counter. It doesn't always work but the best formation I have come across has been narrow diamond. Unfortunately my 4-5-1 v style hasn't been working too well against this recently. It might just be the teams in my league though

I found out a weakness on the 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond and I think it will work on the wide diamond too, try 4-1-3N-2
