It should be, but if so there's no way to jump a 5-men-defending line 'cause they "double" every zone in front of own goal.
I think it could be more dangerous keep free the short opponent's "V" (AMC-ST's) then the defenders. Sure, they could come up and score but they have to leave the defending line. To get this he has to play counterattack in defensive. 4-3-3 gives stability on midfiled (3 men Vs 1!) and has a kind of coverage on back. With 5 defenders you should deploy at least 2/3 strikers. If you're afraid of his attack you could move back an MC (4-1-2-3), your wings don't need to be covered.
My opinion, i would have played so....

    Hey,you again
Hard job man. Buy a DMC as fast as you can and play that 3-5-2V again.Or go for a 4-4-2 classic with arrows in ml/mr. Hope would help...

I WON!!! Thanks for the 4-3-3. Looks like I was super lucky that we broke one of his players nose at the start of the game but eventually I won after extra time!

That is the point as to why people use 5 man back line. You are not suppose to jump over it or break through it. There are other ways around it though, which include using AMs or use counterattack to get them out of position

Good job! Remember me, if I had to play with you, to make wear iron maskes to my players....
