Exclamation Cup half final lost against 4-4-2. How do I counter this?

Hi, yesterday I had the first match of the cup half final. I was using a 4-1-2-1-2 ND against a weaker 4-4-2. But he managed to win 2-4. Now I have to do something great if I want to progress to the final. My first tremble is still within reach but its getting hard.

What formation/orders should I use to beat this guy? The home match I used Attacking, through the middle, own half etc

By playing your formation you gave him the wings. That was all he needed. Once he finished scoring he switched to counter your formation in a defensive way. That is why you should always scout your opponent before you go into a game. Formations are not stand alone things. You should play your opponent

Play 3-1-4-2. You will own the wings

Sorry he changes his formation each match but he didnt attept on the match itself, should I fool him in a certain formation? What formation should I use to fool him in and what formation should I jse to counter his counter formation to have the best result? I hope you understand what I mean I need a big win. The quality if my team js in the middle. I got three strong mids, 1 strong DMC, 3 strong Defenders, and the rest is ok

Go with 4-1-4-1 blue arrows on all DS red arrows on your strong Mcs keep the wings flat. That should be your game plan for playing. What you can show him is a strong St plan with the same players but out of position. No flanks. 4-3-3

So 4-3n-3 should be the decoy? Wont he can wide than? If he goes wide and I go 4-1-4-1 through middle we are in the same situation right? Or do you mean from borth flanks and out strong mcs ML and MR?

Only this season i found the perfect tactic to counter 4-4-2, in my case its solved 4-2MC-3-1 !
Attacking or Normal, mixed (wings and center), all pitch, normal tackling and mixed passe, no counter and no offside trap.
I hope it works ! good luck !
