4-5-1 V against 4-5-1 V and then what ?

Ok, yes I ‘m one those guys whose asking for an advice against an opponent for my tomorrow’s CH.L. final but actually the reason I’m asking advice is a mirror case I have to face.

My opponent played last matches (against a difficult opponent) with the classic 4-5-1 V def/counter. So do I. :)

So in that case what ? We are setting our teams 4-5-1 vs 4-5-1 and waiting each other ? My squad is better for ½ Q but we have good teams, players 5*-6* but this dif. of quality can’t be assure me for the result.

So set a mirror and wait for the program to choose the winner ? :p

I thought a 4-4-2 normal, flanks, with red arrows and blue arrows on DR/DL and one of the DC and if I score then change to 4-5-1. (I don’t have any DML/DMR )
Also a I read about 4-3-3 (ofc. with attack) but I respect a lot this V to face it with attack.
In generals I ‘m wondering about mirror formations with similar quality teams and how the engine reacts.

Just change your dmc to mc 4-3mc-2amlamr-1 and use max bonus! Good luck

4-3-3 is good v 4-5-1V but is severely exposed if opponent changes to 4-1-4-1 (and it can be fiddly to change from 4-3-3 without consuming subs). So I'd avoid it against active managers.

I use 4141 or 451 flat against 451V with red arrows on ML/MR

and with normal ment/counter ?
Whats the purpose of DMC ? The opponent has no power in the middle. Is this for "cutting" long passes and counters ?

Hi my friends. News from my today’s final. :D

As I guess, Alex, the Russian guy we were playing together, started with 4-5-1 and I decide to play 4-1-4-1 normal, mixed pass, flanks, tackling normal, mixed pass, zonal, counters. (and ofc. morale/condition 97-99 % and win bonus max). I had possession cause of little better Q and to a friend who supporting me. He started having more shots and at 20’ scored. I started to think that this 4-5-1V has something magic and maybe I could turn my team to this formation but Alex was already 1 goal ahead . So I turn it to attacking and after a while, whole pitch/ hard tackling. Making a sub, I change the formation to 4-4-2 and after that to 3(W)-1-4-2 when the goal came by RIVLADO, a distance shot. :)
Change my mental to (normal) attack and tackling because I wanted to finish the match but nothing. In extra time I changed one MC with another fresh one, time was passing by and I was starting to think what happened at previous season CH.L. final.

Finally at 118’ won a foul and ROBINHO who I set as a (left) free-kick taker scored !

I ‘m not sure what I did right or wrong but as it said “the result counts” and now I won my 3rd double.

I was lucky about not be trolling. I have a troll result yesterday :mad: in my league match against an opponent 1,5 Q less, played again with 4-5-1 V :p and lost (for 1st time) . No problem with that, cause I was already champion and I had “unbeaten” achievement from previous season. :cool:
The “troll” thing is (we call it like this, in greeks) a “goal from the dressing rooms”.
It happened to me 3-4 times, a goal at 2’ or 3’ and a situation I couldn’t change. :confused:
