Need help to win these 2 formations

There are 2 games I need to win.
One is the classic 4-4-2 which I think 4-4-2 narrow diamond should do the job.
Another is a weird formation, it goes like this
    dr--dc--dc--dc--dl
    dmr---------------
    ----mc----------ml
    ------st--st-------
This guy always wins, never loses in his league.
    What formation should I use?
Please suggest formation that do not need flanks.
    Thank you.

I would do 4-3N-1-2, Through the middle.
His flanks are pretty much protected with DR/DMR, DL, and a possible Blue ML.

What formation do you think I should use to beat 4-4-2 classic?

Towards the end of last season I started to notice 4-5-1V and 4-3N-1-2 Don't really work well against Classic 4-4-4 anymore.
Recently I tried another formation, and won a 4-4-2 calssic by 4:1 using a mix of 4-4-2 vs 4-2-2-2 Hex formation:

    ----ST----ST----
    -------------AMR
    ML-MC--MC----
    -----------------
    DL-DC-DC-DR

Use AML/AMR whichever is stronger, or whichever of his wing is weaker.

4-1-2-1-2 ND might work as well as I have observed in some of the match results this season.

About the weird formation which you suggested to use 4-3N-1-2, what orders and arrows should I use?

Scrap that idea of the weird 4-3-1-2, I just lost 2-1 with that formation against 4-4-2 slightly stronger team.

For 4-4-2 narrow diamond, i put red arrows on amc and the 2 mc. If opponent has an amc , the dmc don't put red arrows. The rest just leave it as it is. For orders, i put attacking, through the middle, whole pitch, short/mixed passing, normal tackling, zonal marking and no force counterattack and no offside trap.
