how to beat 4-4-2 classic?

DL,DR, ML,MR, AMC, ST, DC

Normal, Down Both Flanks, Own Half, Hard, Mixed, Zonal, No Counter, No Offside..

the sad part is i dont have AMC player..any formation that you would like to suggest?

Well, my statement, didn't quite hold true, few hours after posting on 4-4-1-1, I lost to a 5 quality lower 4-4-2 Team (He kinda offset one of the MC to the middle spot). The manager wasn't around to watch, but judging from the comments, I'd say this is a troll match (my world class AMC Shadow Striker and ST one-on-one couldn't get pass the 4* defenders).

Anyways, I did win a few matches against 4-4-2 earlier this season using the 4-3W-1W-2 which looks like 4-4-2 Classic mixed with Hex:

you can use AML as well if your AML is stronger, or his DR/MR is weaker.. all the best!

Or you could try your luck with one of the silly formations that arent illegal anymore like 3n-1-3-2(amc)-1

i tried to follow Castreal's suggestion but my AML/ML got injured in champions league match so i researched for formations to counter 4-4-2 and i found out that 3N-4-1(AMC)-2 can also counter 4-4-2 classic..since i have no AMC and i can't find an AMC player in auction i tried to use 3N-4-3ST with orders hard defensive, mixed, own half, hard, mixed, zonal with forced counter attack.

he scored on the 24th minute (0-1)

i changed the order to hard attacking in the 2nd half (just tried my luck)

i scored a goal in the 47th (1-1)
scored again in 60th (2-1)

result: 2-1 (won the match)
