    How to beat 4-1-2w-1-2 wide diamond

    It's been discussed in a few different places but just wanted to reiterate that I just crushed a higher level 4-1-2w-1-2 in the cup final with a modified 3-5-2. Final score was 6-0. I pushed the ML into an AML position with no arrows (instead of putting him at ML with red arrow) to confuse my opponent. MR had red arrow, all three DC's had blue arrows.

    Mentality normal, focus passing mixed, passing style mixed, counter on, pressing own half, tackling hard, marking zonal, offside off.

    Season: 17. Level: 16.
    Competitions won: 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16. Runner-up: 4
    Champions League won: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 16. Third: 15
    Cups won: 2 [Level 3], 4 [L6], 10 [L13], 14 [L17], 16[L19]. Runner-up: 7 [L9], 11 [L14], 15[L18]. Third: 6 [L8].

    4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond is good tactic against 4-1-2-1-2 Wide Diamond. Another solution is 4-5-1v.

    Just wanted to bump this because it's amazing how little I knew when I first started playing!

    So you changed in a 3-5-2 V style?

    Half of a V!

    Re-reading it, I just found it hilarious that in my first season (or maybe second) I thought I was tricking my opponent by putting a guy at AML with no arrow instead of at ML with a red arrow! The very beginnings of my formation experimentations!
