There aren't any illegal formations anymore.
To beat this, i'd use a central attacking formation such as the Narrow Diamond. 2 MC > 1 MC, no one marking your AMC and 2 ST > 1 DC. If your 3rd ST is better than your AMC, then a 4-1-2n-3 should work too!!!
His DML/DMR won't have much to do, if you don't attack the flanks and they're to far back in the defensive end to pose much risk offensively.
