Having trouble using 4-5-1 v style. Played attack, mixed, flank, own half, zonal, counter, offside off.

4-2n (mc)-2w (amc)-1
----DL-DC-DC-DR
--------MC--MC
--AMR-AMC-AML

Having issues against this formation. Thought 4-5-1 v would do the trick but didnt work. Next i thought might be good is 4-3w (dmc)-1-2. But have not trsted this out yet. What you think? I used 4-5-1 v with the orders above and lost 4-2.

That's 4-2-3w-1. So solutions are:
1. 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow Diamond: Attacking/ Mix passing/ Normal Tackling/ Zone Press/ Own Half/ Short passing/ No counter/ No offside. That's enough to block all attacks and one AMC to exploit the space behind his midfielder. This is best choice.
2. 4-1-2n(MC)-3, same orders, that's enough defender and midfielder, 3 ST against the 2 DC, good but not great choice.
3. 4-1-3n-2, same orders, stronger midfielder, but you need 2 great ST.
4. 3w-1-4-2, attack/ Mix passing/ Normal Tackling/ Zone Press/ Own Half/ Mix passing/ No counter/ No offside. That's enough defender, stronger midfielder and enough ST. You need great DL/DC/DR/DMC to make this work.
5. 4-1-4-1, same orders like (4), but you need a great ST.
