If narrow diamond does not appear to work in the first half, change the formation to one of the following for the second half.

    3DC-1DMC-2MC-AML, AMR-2ST or 4-3N-3N

Both of these formations have worked, but only to some extent. I have doubts on the orders though; this also depends on what orders the opponent set.

For the first formation, it can be any of the following combinations.

    mentality: normal or attacking
    passing: mixed
    focus: flanks
    tackling: normal or hard
    pressing: own half
no force counters and no offside trap

    mentality: defensive
    passing: mixed or long
    focus: flanks
    force counter attacks
    tackling: normal or hard
    force counter attacks
    no offside trap

For the second formation, orders can be set as follows.

    mentality: normal or attacking
    passing: mixed or long
    focus: mixed or middle
    tackling: hard
no force counter attacks and no offside trap

So choose your substitutes appropriately. Post the results after the match is over.

But what would be better? 3-5-2V or 4-3-3?

On paper, the 3-5-2 V-style formation seems better, but based on 4 matches played (2 for each formation), the 4-3-3 gave better results.

I recommend you to start with the 3-5-2 V-style formation, and switch to 4-3-3 if the previous formation does not seem to work. Make sure you put the orders right; make adjustments during the match if required.

Thanks. So, 4-1-2-1-2 N.D may be another counter formation for this advanced diamond' formation.

What orders you used for the 4-1-2-1-2 N.D?
