If you mean like this:

DL--DC-DC--DR
----MC-MC----
AML--------AMR
------ST--ST----

Then:

-----------ST----------
AML-------------AMR
--------MC-MC-----
DML------------DMR
-----DC-DC-DC-----

All flat no arrows, or as above the V formation, both work well but I have more success with the butterfly, it's undefeated this season against five different formations. When someone counters it I'll change to .........
The 4-2-2-2 is as you charted above. I tried the butterfly and drew 1:1.
I also read the post you mentioned a while ago...

Tried 4-5-1V. Lost after penalties [1:1] if I'm not mistaken.

I also tried this one already, lost an embarrassing 2:0. The bunker didn't work well for me.

I guess I should try the butterfly again. Think it got the best result from all I tried.

Btw, 4-4-2 supposed to be good against 4-2-2-2 but I didn't get a chance to try it. Got my second striker injured on the 9th minute (had 6 injured players), when 2 out of 3 strikers injured and 2 out of 4 mc injured. All i got left was dc to sub. Lost while playing 5-4-1 3:0.

I will keep you updated on my quest to pwn 4-2-2-2
Thank you all for the help!
