Asymmetrical 4-3N-3
I keep having bad results against teams with lower quality and especially so when they play in an asymmetrical formation (or that's when I notice the most). So tomorrow I'm facing this guy and I'd like to hear your suggestions.

Thought about 4-1-4-1, but that would mean I can't field my best players. I have and AMC/AMR who's performing really well at the moment.

Try this, it should work! Good luck!

Thanks. I actually played 4-3N-2W-1 in our first match and lost 1-0. More posession, more shots, less on target. But my settings may have been a bit different. So I might try that.
I don't like however playing my AMR directly opposite his DML. Would 4-3N-1-2 (mixed passing, reds on wingbacks) be an option? Or would that be a bad idea since he's strong through the middle?

don't get confused with asymmetrical formations.
Consider those as close to the normal ones and set your team by that.
This formation looks like a 4-3-3 so I suggest
3N-1DMC-2MC- AML-C-R - 1ST
or
3N-1DMC-3MC-AML-R - 1ST
I would go for defense/counter and wait to see how is it going.

I try not to, but I alway seem to struggle when facing one. :p
I like your first option, since my attack would depend less on my AMR. I do have the players to pull it off. I'll let you know what happened.

Well, I won. I also struggled.
Came online in 50th minute (I thought I was playing later). Still 0-0, so I changed to attacking. Then a lot started to happen. I almost immediately scored the first goal. Opponent got a free kick (yellow card) which led to a penalty (yellow card) and the eqaulizer. Another free kick and yellow card after that, but luckily I managed to score once more towards the end of the match.
Six points difference in avq. It does show in the stats but not in the score.
Thanks for your replies. :)
