I motivated it after the goal, it was normal 4-1-4-1 before. My star player didn't do anything because he doesn't like MR

it should be always motivated bcz of its defensive nature, did you tried to put your star as AMR (as i have same issue with my best scout who is AMR/AML/AMC) , i push him as AMR after 5 min as a test to see if i lose possession or not, if not i will keep him as AMR, but often need to remove the arrow to keep the balance right , but he will be motivated if he was RM, same as LB/RB/LM/RM/DMC. only lost once using this formation and it was with far superior teams, my mate since 4 seasons is trying to crack it and failing, beat him yesterday away 3-0

did you try any other formations after the goal? just out of curiosity.. bcz many suggested several formations with a base of 3N-3W at the back?

I played my own formation today, something I call "my secret weapon" and won 3-0.. beat him on aggregate
