Is there any chance to win?

Is there any serious chance to win against him?

I'm now at Season 3. From the beginning of Season 2, my playstyle is 4-5-1 V-Style, sometimes I switch to 4-1-2-1-2 ND. I won the triple last season (L5 Cup :confused: ), now I think I'm Cup L6 oder L7 (L7 Manager was the highest in there). I also hold the most of my whole team, I'm not a tokenbuyer at all.
Normally I set the tactics right, got no goal at the cup, but... this time... oO

First leg was 0-2 for him, just used my normal V-Style
Tactics:
defense-mixed-mixed-on
low-normal-man to man-off
no arrows

After 33' it was 0-2, at 50' I haven't any shot on his goal, so I change to 4-1-2-1-2 ND, tactic:
attacking-through the middle-short-off
high-normal-zonal-on
DMC and AMC red arrow

At the end of the game I just had 5 shots on his goal.

He normally plays 3w-1-3w-1-2, but before the game he switched to 3w-1-3w-2-1 and used it the whole match.

At the counter-thread it also says V-Style should be the counter, but for me it doesn't work.

So... any ideas? Is it possible to win - even high enough to stay in?

I'll try it... there's nothing to lose. :)

But there is just one Question: Should I use bonus? Which one?

I'll post the result (around 26 hours)

a risky move, use only one DC and play 3-5-2 or 3-6-1.

I use lv one bonus.
If it's working, ok.
LV1 or lv4 (the expensive one), won't make such difference.
Also try to use the extra bonus from the training. Maybe it can help

4-2-1-2-1 is very balanced and it needs blue arrows on dmc and red arrow on St or aml/r.
This may give you best result or else go attacking and wait for unknown result

Here's the result:

1-3 victory - so Cup goes on. :o I had to use a sub DR, which only was 94%, I was exactly 2 Points weaker (39,4/37,4 = 10%), so I never thought, that's possible.

I was away, got two fans from the start, so he had only +1%

06' 0-1 AML (assist ST)
11' 0-2 DMC (assist ST)
~50' another Manager from the Cup (not a friend) supported me; +1% for me
62' 1-2
77' substituted MC and put him red arrow
80' used attackbonus (Trainingbonus)
85' 1-3 AML (assist ST)
90' oO and :o

I only used possession bonus until 80'.

Lost first leg 1-2 (away). Opponent was only 0.2 Point stronger, he played:

After 20' I conceded two goals. At halftime, I had only 2 shots total (1 on target), he had 8 shot total (3 on target) - so I tried the change to this:

edit: Checked his team, and saw, he has to change formation because of two red cards. He moved his AML to AMC (middle), and his right DC is just MC (cause his TOP DC has a red card and he doesn't have another Defender).
And so I'm slightly stronger (0.3 points) now.

I thought about:
3n-2 (DMC)-2 (MC)-2 (AML/AMR)-1
Blue arrows on dmc and red arrow on striker.

he always plays 5 Defenders and 3 MCs. The rest variates, but in Cup he mostly played:

ST is early 7 Star; DMC, MCs are all early 8 Stars (140%), but his whole Defense is only 5 Stars.

the only thing I 'm making different is to play (simple) defending (I avoid hard), and use the +defense bonus button.

It worked well. I won 3:1, but his goal was from a freekick in the 90'. -.-

I stayed with hard defending (it was just a feeling).

I think, today was one of the best moments of my (short) career: I won the Cup after an incredible game. I was down 0:2 after 33', changed formation and tactics around 55'. Just won 3:2. :o I love my team - it was (with only one new DC) excatly the same as last season. :o
I fear the day, the players will go. ^^

Change tactics during the match after half time if you think you aren't winning.
For example, start with defensive counter long passes. If things weren't as planned, just change it to normal tactics.
Start the match with no arrows. If you find that a player's rating is down after 30 minutes put an arrow. If still down after 60 minutes change the arrow.

I always change tactic/arrows and sometimes formation during a game, if it doesn't work.

The game was close, at half time my team had 5 shots on target, oppo only 3 (possession was ~45%-55% for me). After 1:0, it was 6 SoT for me, 4 SoT. So I changed to an offensive playstyle - at the end: 10 SoT for me, 5 for him.

So... I really don't know, if it was only a troll result and I should stay with 4-5-1V and tactics, or change it. 0:1 is not that much, but if he scores only one time, I need 3 goals... :confused:

Especially, because I think, he will play defensive and counter... :confused:

4-4-2 as 4-5-1V are balanced formations.
it's hard to counter them.
Depending from the good/bad day or a great performance of one player (or maybe a successful F-K, C-K).
If you fill you can play with this, try a 4-4-2ND or 4-3(MC) -3 middle.

My team is able to play most formations... if I don't suffer an injury early again... ;p

2nd he changed formation to 4-3w-1-2. I tried ND - won 2:0. MoM with clean 10 was my best player his season (which suffered an injury in 1st leg). If I take a look on statistics, he hadn't any chance (65%-35%; 2-4 saves, 6-2 SoT, and so on).
