Is there any serious chance to win against him?

I'm now at Season 3. From the beginning of Season 2, my playstyle is 4-5-1 V-Style, sometimes I switch to 4-1-2-1-2 ND. I won the triple last season (L5 Cup ), now I think I'm Cup L6 oder L7 (L7 Manager was the highest in there). I also hold the most of my whole team, I'm not a tokenbuyer at all.
Normally I set the tactics right, got no goal at the cup, but... this time... oO

First leg was 0-2 for him, just used my normal V-Style
Tactics:
defense-mixed-mixed-on
low-normal-man to man-off
no arrows

After 33' it was 0-2, at 50' I haven't any shot on his goal, so I change to 4-1-2-1-2 ND, tactic:
attacking-through the middle-short-off
high-normal-zonal-on
DMC and AMC red arrow

At the end of the game I just had 5 shots on his goal.

He normally plays 3w-1-3w-1-2, but before the game he switched to 3w-1-3w-2-1 and used it the whole match.

At the counter-thread it also says V-Style should be the counter, but for me it doesn't work.

So... any ideas? Is it possible to win - even high enough to stay in?

a risky move, use only one DC and play 3-5-2 or 3-6-1.

I use lv one bonus.
If it's working, ok.
LV1 or lv4 (the expensive one), won't make such difference.
Also try to use the extra bonus from the training. Maybe it can help

4-2-1-2-1 is very balanced and it needs blue arrows on dmc and red arrow on St or aml/r.
This may give you best result or else go attacking and wait for unknown result

1-3 victory - so Cup goes on. I had to use a sub DR, which only was 94%, I was exactly 2 Points weaker (39,4/37,4 = 10%), so I never thought, that's possible.

I was away, got two fans from the start, so he had only +1%

06' 0-1 AML (assist ST)

~50' another Manager from the Cup (not a friend) supported me; +1% for me
